The Ehrman Project
by StuartJanuary 20th, 2011
A few minutes ago I received an email recommending a new website called: The Ehrman Project.
At exactly the same time Brian LePort blogged about this very same website and had this to say:
It has been designed to engage the popular scholarship of Bart D. Ehrman in the public arena where he has gained so much notoriety.
And:
Also, make sure you visit The Ehrman Project for more interesting videos. I think it is a promising resource.
I can’t help myself, but when I encounter coincidences like this it always piques my interest.
Having had a little time to check out the website, I agree that this is indeed a very interesting and promising resource.
This is what they have to say about themselves:
Dr. Bart Ehrman is raising significant questions about the reliability of the Bible. In an engaging way, he is questioning the credibility of Christianity. His arguments are not new, which he readily admits. Numerous Biblical scholars profoundly disagree with his findings. This site provides responses to Dr. Ehrman’s provocative conclusions.
The website is full of short, punchy, easy to understand videos of New Testament scholars tackling the tough issues that have been raised by Dr. Ehrman. There’s even the facility to send off your questions to their resident NT scholars, who will happily answer your queries. How cool is that!
Anyway, I commend this website to your attention and will leave you with Dr. Michael Kruger addressing: Morality and the ‘Problem of Evil’:
