About the Ministry
We truly believe that God is calling us to have a significant impact on the church and culture by taking back what rightly belongs to God - the mind. We live in a time of anti-intellectualism, skepticism, and confusion. Our goal is to reclaim the mind by energizing the church providing resources for intellectual engagement.
In order to gain the heart and mind of a confused and skeptical world, we must teach the Christian truth irenically (see here for a better understanding). As well, it is our persuasion that when theology is presented in such a way, the truths of the evangelical Christian faith are ultimately persuasive.
Reclaiming the Mind Ministries was created to impact individuals, the church, and the culture with the glory of God and the majesty of Christ by presenting the truths of the Christian faith in a fair and balanced way. Whether taking classes through The Theology Program, reading the Parchment and Pen Blog, listening to Theology Unplugged, or engaging with top Christian scholars on Converse with Scholars, the student will be encouraged to understand the issues at a profound level in order to make informed decisions on the most important topics of life.
We seek to fill the intellectual void that has become all too common in modern Christianity. We believe that we are commanded to love the Lord with our minds as well as our hearts (Matt. 22:37). This means that we use our minds well, honoring God in not only what we think, but the way we think.
We are both a content and event driven ministry. We provide both content and events that challenge the mind, educating people in the basics of systematic and historic theology. Here is a list of some of what we do:
- Offer a six course program of systematic theology called The Theology Program (TTP) that can be taken completely for free.
- Produce a free weekly Internet radio podcast called Theology Unplugged (TUP).
- Host free online discussion with top Evangelical scholars through a program called Converse with Scholars (CWS).
- A theology blog called Parchment and Pen which has contributions from many evangelical scholars who share in our vision.
- Provide resources and support for churches all over the world who use TTP in their local setting.
Right now, considering the majority of the events and products of RMM are offered for free, we rely on people's support for most of our budget. Join us through your participation, prayer, and financial support as we impact the world with the Gospel of Christ.
We are a 501c3 organization, so all of you gifts are tax-deductible. Donate here.
