Bibleworks 9 Review

bibleworks9

I just installed my copy of Bibleworks 9. I finally got the upgrade. I have used Bibleworks since it first came out, and I never fail to upgrade.

The tagline, as you can see, is “Software for Biblical Exegesis and Research.” This is a very accurate description of the program. It is an incredibly powerful tool for pure Bible study. For over a decade, I have used two computer programs for my studies: Logos (which I may review soon) and Bibleworks. It is hard for me to keep from sounding too dramatic about my love for Bibleworks. I often say that I may not be a Christian without it! It is that important to my research. Simply put, I believe Bibleworks is the most powerful biblical exegesis research tool in existence.

I will take the time over the next week to write two short reviews of this program. Let me say a very sincere thank you to the crew at Bibleworks for their endurance in this project. You have been at it for a long time. I have talked with you many times over the years and hung out with you at ETS. You are a great group. This program is such a great benefit to the discipleship of Christ’s bride.

If it cannot support a MAC system, then it’s not good enough IMO.

If you review Logos, will you also review the new upcoming Windows version of Accordance which is due out this year?

I’ve used both Accordance and Bibleworks. You just can’t get better results than using Accordance in my opinion. For those doing rigorous work in the languages it still remains the Cadillac program. Bibleworks is greatly improved, but it is a distant follower.

The new interface of Accordance 10 is superb and builds on its spectacular software system.

  • Do not use the blog to promote yourself, as your surrogate blog, or as an advertisement. I am sure you are interesting and have some really nice things to say, but you can get your own blog.

  • Keep your comments short. Like when your comments are longer than the blog, that is too long.
