  1. Nice! I do see myself that way…except my wife won’t let me have the beard unfortunately

  2. We arminian’s don’t see Calvinists as Satan himself…..just his demon spawn….

  3. Before really looking into this, and God’s sovereignty, I just didn’t think it mattered that much, I encourage anyone to look into what, for lack of terms “centered” so called Calvinists. Like RC Sproul, John MacArthur, me : ) teach. And you’ll see while we may not fully understand it, there’s no denying it. God’s sovereignty is on every page of the bible. The great evangelist of the 16 – 1800′ were all calvinists. All the great theologians were (99.9%) calvinists. I encourage those searching for the truth on this issue to watch the hour shows on Word Pictures called the Sovereignty of God, their also on YouTube, but that’ll be little clips, not the best way to see this, it’s 16 one hour shows. Mark Kieler made these, they are absolutly done well, and fair. No hype, no scriture twisting, just scripture!

    Funny indeed!

  5. I appreciate the humor here. I know that Michael T (#2) is just joking (at least I hope). I see Calvinists as beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. We’ll be sharing heaven together, worshiping God together for all eternity. It would be good if we could get along now, I really don’t want to wait until then.

  6. I wonder what the picture would be for how we see one-another…(unless that’s the picture of Piper)
    Very funny indeed.

  7. @drwayman: Now its both the “Wheat & Tares”, even in the so-called Visible Body of Christ! But, I certainly agree about Christians and the Spirit of Christ! 1 Cor. 13, is not some kind of subset chapter!

  8. Could someone explain the Fundamentalist View/swigging Jack Daniels? Thx

  9. @Pete: No booze for the “Fundamentalists”! Or it used to be? ;)

  10. Oh, OK! Thanks Fr. Robert.

Your are correct, no booze…but saddle up to the Shake & Steak buffet, and balloon up to 300+ lbs, abusing food…giving the stink-eye to the sinner in the next booth who is having a little wine with dinner…yep, CMP nailed that one.

Luke 7:34 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’

And, what was the very 1st sin again, from Genesis? An act of eating! How do they miss that?

Jews will never acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah, Protestants will never acknowledge the Pope as head of the Church, and fundamentalists will never acknowledge each other in the liquor store.

  12. found it!

“THEY’LL BE NO BUTTER IN HELL!!!”

  13. They think we like Gandalf? Wouldn’t that fit better for roman Catholics? :-P

  14. LOL CMP!

Roman Catholics get Gandalf the Great as their proto-priest.

    Orthodox get, who…Miracle Max?
