I taught the Theology Program at our church last year during our Sunday school hour before the main services. Since we do not have Sunday school through the summer and take a break for the Christmas holidays and Easter, we had about 42 Sundays to go through the program. Our main concern was doing this in one calendar year in order to keep this from being an “open ended” type of program. The difficulty is that is was impossible to cover all of the material during 42 Sundays. What ended up happening is that I had to skip over various portions of the material in order to hit all of the main modules. We ended up with 4 weeks for the final module which is Ecclessiology and Eschatology. We had to cut that one shorter than most. I think that even after eliminating a good portion of the material that there was more than enough left to cover, some Sundays was like drinking water from a fire hose. I used the power points for the course which worked very well as we could go at our own pace instead of utilizing the DVD’s. I am currently going through the Discipleship Program but using the DVD’s and to be honest, this is where most of our people our at. Both programs are awesome but TTP is a much greater committment in time and energy. Our church can not recommend this material enough. Job well done to the Credo House.

Please adhere to the following rules to prevent banishment to Siberia (no offense to our Siberian visitors):

  • Do not use the blog to promote yourself, as your surrogate blog, or as an advertisement. I am sure you are interesting and have some really nice things to say, but you can get your own blog.
  • Do not call authors out for debate. You must count the cost (Lk. 14:31). You don’t want to get whipped up on anyway.
  • Keep your comments short. Like when your comments are longer than the blog, that is too long.

Perpetual Virginity
The belief among Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox that Mary remained a virgin her entire life, never having sexual relations with Joseph after the birth of Christ. Most Protestants object to this doctrine believing that the Bible teaches that Mary had other children and that this doctrine arose out of a philosophical disdain for the [...] continue reading
