In the problem of 'homosexuals' or 'gays', we have to differentiate btw

1. homosexuality - physiological-psychological tendency
2. homosexual behavior and conduct
3. homosexualism - ideological agenda

The very fact that not just they want to come out of their closet but then they have to go beyond ('blowing a trumpet before them') surely tells us about their precarious position to stand to face God.

Once again we see why Christianity along with all other faiths has outgrown its usefulness. Come on .. people do not choose their sexuality any more then they choose the colour of their skin. The idea that they should be punished or threatened with eternal damnation for something beyond their control is so outdated and ludicrous, that these claims alone should be enough to put a total ban on people practicing these primitive and redundant belief systems. LIVE NOW .. YOU WILL BE DEAD ONE DAY AND DEAD FOREVER

I noticed that this entire article, and the comments, are simply people infected with christian hallucinations, attempting to rationalize their confusion regarding homosexuality. It's called bigotry, and it is actively promoted by the christian cult.

There is some biological studies that show there are some similarities in the brain between lesbians and males as well as gay men and females. Then of course there are cases where there are people born both female and male. Hermaphrodites. Are you an abomination because you were born different? Because God chose to make you a homosexual and/or a hermaphrodite?

I don't encourage homosexuality, however don't believe people are homosexuals because they CHOOSE to be. ESPECIALLY when a lot of homosexuals have suffered through things most of us can't even begin to imagine. God loves everyone. God made everyone the way they should be. Homosexuals can be and ARE Christian. They love God, accept Jesus as their lord and savior, as well as follow the bible as best they can. What counts in God's eyes is the purity of your heart and what exactly your intentions are. Swindling money from church members is a lot worse than loving someone sincerely.
"The solution is for us to be non-compromising to the political correct agenda of our culture to turn all sin into a perfectly acceptable lifestyle choice, but at the same time to be gracious, knowing that the only hope that anyone has is to be covered in Christ’s righteousness, not our own."

This is where you nailed it, Michael. Excellent post. I try to keep telling people it is not hate when you call a sin a sin. However, we all have to remember that we all sin.

In reading the comments on this page, the best explanation for why homosexuality is a sin seems to be that it isn't God's perfect plan for relationships because of the inability to produce children. I think that explanation would seem extremely feeble and unfair to homosexuals, and it seems like it would also have implications for heterosexual couples who are unable to have children.

Besides, it would be a hard pill to swallow for a homosexual to have to face a life of loneliness or dissatisfaction in whatever relationship they were forced to settle for. I know God can change a person in that area, but it doesn't always happen.

It says in the Book of Acts that they were first called Christians because of their Christ-like behavior (ref. Acts 11:21-26 & John 14:6)... Are we far to liberal handing out the Title? I intend each morning when I awake to struggle well and gain a more mature stance in my walk in the ways of the Lord. I go to sleep each night looking into the mirror hoping the light of Christ is just a little brighter in me. The growth process is action based wherein I strive daily to become "sinless", hoping at least only my last breath may prove me faithful to the end... that I ran a good race! I strive to be Christ-like in my character... but, by the Mercy of the Cross, I will again repent when I fail. Thanks be to God for the Grace He has bestowed on me which is more than sufficient as one of who is a struggling sinner.

My argument is this... Who is a Christian... and whose standard are you using to label the person?

Is a homosexual a Christian... no, as Christ never displayed that character. Do we pray a homosexual has a heart change and desires to change their walk to that of the ways of the Lord? ...absolutely, no less than we pray for all of mankind. But this goes into the doctrine of election ... John 6:60-66. I am not qualified to label anyone a Christian, nor say they are not one, that is God's place. But, I can tell by the fruit, who their master is.

The bible tells us that God turned many over because they rebelled against him to well the bible puts it "the man leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another" and likewise "the woman leaving the natural use of the man doing that which is unseemly". Those who sin against God in the manner mentioned in this comment are reprobate concerning faith. God has turned such over to their own lusts.
