Three Important Announcements

1. The site is changing servers. Therefore, there will not be much activity here for the next week or so. (We are scared we will lose it).
2. Tonight, you are invited to www.livestream.com/reclaimingthemind to join our live theology session. It will be a Converse with Scholars as, author, professor at DTS, and pastor Dr. Mark Hitchcock will join our session from 10-11 EST. (No more Paltalk!!)
3. Reclaiming the Mind Ministries is in serious financial need. Specifically, we need $22,000 by the end of this week. We are also on a campaign to gain 250 supporters who will commit $1000 per year ($80 a month). Joe, I think that characterization is bit unfair. Soliciting financial support for ministry is not only scriptural (1 Corinthians 9:7-14) but also a common practice amongst the most reputable of ministries. Ministries are supported by the people they serve. The ones like this that teach sound theology and provoke a deeper understanding of the triune God, are certainly worthy of the investment.

Is there any way that P&P can downgrade their ministry until there are enough funds to consistently support it?
I’m not familiar with the exact needs of P&P and how its budget is broken down, but it seems like there’s an awful lot of emergency need.

Greg, I am not on staff with RMM so your question should be directed to Michael. I would also recommend signing up for the newsletters. There have been some explanations in them.

Yeah, Greg, it is not fun. Hopefully by the end of the year this push for commitments will be a thing of the past, but it is a necessary thing until we have a big part of our budget committed to. Its a catch 22. If we don’t ask for commitments, then we have “emergencies” that will be every month as the budget does not change every month. But we have to have the initial emergency push so that we can get the commitments. Not easy. But by the end of this year, it should be over, one way or the other!
