I was at Wittenberg too but this was last summer. I don’t think I saw the originals, but yes you can find copies everywhere in that town. October, 2017… 500th anniversary?

Michael, forget about digital prints or posters, I think paintings would work best for the ambience of the Credo House. They will probably cost more though…

Michael, I saw plenty of the first two a week ago…in Wittenberg. There are several art stores there with these paintings in them, including the originals I believe (or at least very early copies). Maybe you should plan on making a trip in, say, late October, 2017…

I would suggest printing them at the normal smaller size on a very good printer. Then scan them at an extremely high resolution (over 1000+)

Have you tried http://www.artchive.com? If they don’t have those paintings posted, they may be able to recommend a source. Someone has to have a hi-rez version.

I understand Princeton University has a large collection of religious art in digital format. No idea how to access it.

A trick I’ve used is to print a version of the picture at a size and resolution that looks good, with no pixelization, then either scan it at a very high resolution or shoot it with a hi resolution digital camera. I’ve used this technique to make a very small, low resoution picture usable for PowerPoint. It ended up looking good, but that’s still at screen resolution, whereas you’ll need it to be big at 300 dpi or more. You may need to print it and take it to a shop with a good drum scanner. You may have some problems with a moiré pattern but that can be dealt with.

I don’t think you can ever enlarge a picture too much without seeing the quality difference.
