All:

I can testify to Michael's comments, there were plenty of times when I left his messages dazed and confused.

However, now that my mind has been stretched, I am so, so grateful for his approach, attitude, and encouragement and would not have it any other way.

Excellent ideals, Michael, which I sincerely desire you to continue. This forms a very attractive advertisement indeed for the theology program.

Correctly, in my opinion, your aim seems to be not to teach a particular theology but rather to teach what theology is concerned with, how to 'do' theology, and important theological ideas through the ages. In that way, much like secular philosophy, it still wrestles with the same issues that scholars have been dealing with for thousands of years. Though theology isn't likely to give us all the answers, it is a fascinating pursuit for our curious species, as it has been from the very beginning when Adam reached for the forbidden knowledge.

On the one hand, we are urged to seek knowledge (Eph 3:4, Phil 1:9), while realizing that knowledge is destined to pass away (1 Cor 13:8). If our theology is simply learning we fall into the trap of 2 Tim 3:7--Ever learning and never able to come to knowledge of the truth.

It's understandable that you are dealing chiefly with Christian theology. But do you think we have anything to learn from other theologies?

CMP: "Besides, there are a lot of smart people who love the same Lord just as much as myself who are Arminian and/or don’t believe in inerrancy. Can you believe it?!"

Yes, I can believe it. I also believe in Satan, the Father of Lies.
