Let’s all add that bus driver to our prayer lists! Sounds like he has some challenges ahead. I doubt it’s coincidence that he learns of his condition the day he meets up with Dan and his crew and gets mentioned on a blog seen world-wide.

That you found two new manuscripts at Cambridge is astonishing. How many new manuscript discoveries does that make for you, now? How long is the process to get them catalogued?

Where can a complete, up-to-date catalog of NT Greek manuscripts be found? In an endnote in Reinventing Jesus you mentioned the uni-muenster.de pdf, but that looks like it only contains new manuscripts–not a complete count of manuscripts (even then, it appears to be missing what I thought were the most recent papyri finds (p119-p124).

Sorry Dan, but just thought I’d mention, if you get some spare free time while you are in Nottingham, hop on a tram in the city centre and take a ride part of the way towards the neighbouring town of Hucknall. The tram system is really good and the tram takes you right through the city centre and the outskirts giving you a bit of a flavour of life on fairly typical provincial town/city. We have just appoointed a vicar who has come from a parish just outside Nottngham and she is really good.

Sounds really great what you are doing. Despite all the worrying (join the club!) it sounds as though you are really enjoying the work which is great. As well as praying for you, we also need to quickly develop a theology for praying for inanimate objects…ie your luggage!!

Just out of interest, which castle on the South Coast of England are you at? It is not Corfe Castle in Dorset is it, by any chance, which is one of my favourite places in the whole of the UK. Also, whereabouts in Scotland are you heading? Edinburgh is a fantastic city and if you go up into the Highlands you will be venturing somewhere that I have always wanted to go to but never managed to get there.
