Parchment & Pen Blog

What Happened to this Blog?

Comments 2 Comments

As you may know, this blog was severely hacked. We have managed to find most of the posts through Google catch (thanks to our outstanding audience). Anyway, there are still some odd things going on here and there. Yesterday that blog was down in IE for completely unrelated reasons (I think).

The biggest difficulty is that while we have reclaimed the posts, we cannot restore the comments.

Therefore, over the next few months, you may see some posts that have already been posted. We will continue to post the new ones as well, but there will probably be two a day for some time.

Thanks for your continued following, making this blog a great joy and a learning experience. I have come to realize through this experience, that I really do like to blog.

IE7 was down for a lot of people yesterday due to a problem with the sitemeter.com site.

I don’t know if the problem is fixed (I don’t use IE7), but there are workarounds posted. One is to add sitemeter.com to the list of sites that you don’t allow to post cookies. Another is to not use IE7.

i am so sorry your blog was disrupted. do keep up the great opportunities you give others to think out loud, learn so much, and wrestle with others.

i use ie7, and was having trouble with some sites (including yours) but not others. so i’m guessing the ie7 problem is fixed, since i’m commenting. i have no problems with any sites now.

    peace–

Blog Rules

Please adhere to the following rules to prevent banishment to Siberia (no offense to our Siberian visitors):

  • Do not use the blog to promote yourself, as your surrogate blog, or as an advertisement. I am sure you are interesting and have some really nice things to say, but you can get your own blog.
  • Do not call authors out for debate. You must count the cost (Lk. 14:31). You don’t want to get whipped up on anyway.
  • Keep your comments short. Like when your comments are longer than the blog, that is too long.
  • Read All 6 Rules

In heuristics, learners are encouraged to explore ideas without the use of a set formula that will necessarily lead to presupposed conclusions. It will often involve a setting aside of traditional understanding in order to think “outside the [...] continue reading
