Undeniable Proof that Jesus is Not God
Using and interesting, but all too common, hermeneutical method that Reclaiming the Mind Ministries does not endorse, my good friend and theologian Samson Covatch at Submerging Influence posted this video. Enjoy!

Very funny, you should really warn of the LOL potential for those at work when you post these things!

Very good.
I wonder if I can use that at my next ‘methods of reading the Hebrew Bible’ class. But then that’s just OT and not NT, so I guess not.

Samson you have such a gift of exegesis…pulling the hidden meaning out of John 3:10-18 like that…WOW! All this time I knew there was something not right…GOD three letters, JESUS five letters…now I know! Are you putting out a book soon?
I sure miss you Samson…you had me yelling “LOL”
Seriously though, as far fetched as your examples were, how many times have we seen arguments using the same methodology out there in the mainstream? Great post!
Thanks Michael for bringing this to our attention.

Sometimes I really struggle with sarcasm. Especially when it is extremely condescending like this person. I am not so sure that this should have been made especially when it can be easily confused with this.

I think sarcasm has a use, this takes that use and stretches it so that it suffocates any usefulness. Yes, I believe that Jesus and God are one, but this will do nothing to correct someone who needs to learn. I think that this is at best preaching to the choir. I like most of your posts Michael, but in this one I am extremely disappointed.

I really get a kick out Samson. I have seen a couple other videos he has made and they always give me a chuckle.

In my opinion, you do not help your cause when people are seriously researching this topic.
You also act as though there are no good reasons to believe any other religion or no religion for that matter.

Awww…But you see God works in ways man doesn’t understand! God came to earth as Jesus to demonstrate how people could live their life in freedom from the bonds of sin! As His word says…The fool has said in his heart there is no God!
