ETS Theological Library is Now Complete

Comments 8 Comments

Its finally complete!!! The RMM Theological Library.

Hundreds of theological papers online and available for search and download. These are papers from the past 5 years of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) annual meeting. Although RMM does not endorse the contents of all these papers, they are great for study, research, digging deeper, broadening your perspectives, and getting up to speed on current issues in theology.

The goal of Reclaiming the Mind Ministries is to make theology accessible. I hope these papers will go a long way in doing so.

Thanks to Zondervan and the Evangelical Theological Society as we have worked together to get this project up-to-date. Special thanks to Mark Warnick who worked out the deal, Richard Sugg who created the database, and Carrie Hunter who helped me categorize these papers.

Wow! This is great. Thanks for all your work in making these papers available free of charge!

There appears to be a problem with displaying superscripted text in the web version of the files. An inch or so of blank space appears before every footnote.

This is a valuable resource for me. I’ve been looking at some of those papers in the last few days, and already I’ve come across some issues (e.g., middle-knowledge) that I haven’t really thought through before (probably because of laziness ;-) ). The middle-knowledge article caught my eye because a very close and dear friend of mine believes that middle-knowledge is essential to understanding why some people believe while others do not believe (she’s believes also in libertarian freewill, which I do not – the age-old Calvinst vs. Arminist theology).

Anyway, thanks for your time and effort; I know I’ll be making use of these papers.

It’s kind of difficult to search by author. It seems that you have to match the entire name correctly.

Any way you could make it searchable by matching first part of last name?

    Thanks so much!

We might be able to do something. Thanks for the feedback. How about if we had a list of authors like we have a list of categories?

Blog Rules

Please adhere to the following rules to prevent banishment to Siberia (no offense to our Siberian visitors):

  • Do not use the blog to promote yourself, as your surrogate blog, or as an advertisement. I am sure you are interesting and have some really nice things to say, but you can get your own blog.
  • Do not call authors out for debate. You must count the cost (Lk. 14:31). You don’t want to get whipped up on anyway.
  • Keep your comments short. Like when your comments are longer than the blog, that is too long.
  • Read All 6 Rules

Theological Word of the Day

Eternal Security
The doctrine that salvation, once attained, is eternally secure and therefore cannot be lost. Calvinists refer to this doctrine as perseverance of the saints, placing the emphasis on the instrumental cause of one’s security–God”s sovereign electing will. This sovereign will is evidenced in the perseverance of the faith of the believer. Passages that adherents would [...] continue reading
