Hmmm. Theology and Steak. Several months ago, I came up with Theology and Snack as the name for my blog. Of course, there are considerable differences; I spend a huge amount of time talking about food. And I’m not at all a Calvinist.

The Jollyblogger blog is very interesting. The point about needing younger marriages is correct but difficult. I think modern society has put young christians in a very difficult position. It is funny how we know that christians still sin (including me and you) and yet young christians are to live celibately well into their late 20′s, early 30′s these days with college and early career taking precedence. That’s over 15 years of sexual maturity that they are supposed to live perfectly without falling into sin. I can’t go one day without falling into some sin habit, but they are supposed to fight the fire for 15 years? And if they fail the article implies they did not accept the gospel and need to be evangelized.

Let’s face it, its harder to grow up christian than convert after you’ve sown the oats and settled down in marriage.

Imagine asking OT jews to live celibate lives until nearly past childbearing years!
