ETS Papers on RMM

Reclaiming the Mind Ministries is now the official host for the Evangelical Theological Society’s (ETS) annual meeting papers. We have posted hundreds and will be posting hundreds more in the coming days. Check them out here.

The Evangelical Theological Society is an organization that exists “To foster conservative Biblical scholarship by providing a medium for the oral exchange and written expression of thought and research in the general field of the theological disciplines as centered in the Scriptures.” All the papers presented on the RMM site are from the annual ETS conferences.

Disclaimer: RMM does not necessarily endorse the content of all these papers, but has provided them to stir biblical and theological awareness, scholarship, and accountability. Take the time to browse, download, and read. Enjoy!

Thanks to Mark Warnick and Richard Sugg for their hard work over the last six months to make this happen.

Thanks, Michael. I just read one of the papers on Hell. The author talked about the Traditionalist position and the Conditionalist position. I thought he did a very fair job in pointing out how they come to their beliefs. In the end, he comes down to being a Traditionalist. I THINK I come down to being a Conditionalist. Thank God, though, that what we think of Hell does not determine whether we are “real” Christians or not!

Papers are being updated daily. We should post about 10-20 per day for the next month. Then they will come once we get our other relationships solidified. There are some really good organizations that we are partnering up with in this endeavor. It should go a long way in accomplishing our mission.

Blog Rules

Please adhere to the following rules to prevent banishment to Siberia (no offense to our Siberian visitors):

  • Do not use the blog to promote yourself, as your surrogate blog, or as an advertisement. I am sure you are interesting and have some really nice things to say, but you can get your own blog.
  • Do not call authors out for debate. You must count the cost (Lk. 14:31). You don’t want to get whipped up on anyway.
  • Keep your comments short. Like when your comments are longer than the blog, that is too long.
  • Read All 6 Rules

Theological Word of the Day

Molinism
Named after Luis de Molina, a 16th century Jesuit theologian, Molinism is a proposed reconciliation of the problems introduced in the tension between human freedom and divine sovereignty. Molinism seeks to retain both a true libertarian freedom without sacrificing divine providence or sovereignty by introducing the idea of “middle knowledge.” In this proposal God knows [...] continue reading
