I’ve been reading your blogs since I first joined TTP several months ago. It has become an enjoyable part of my daily routine. This is my first time responding, so it is going to be a multi-topic blog (probably a “don’t). I always find your blogs thought provoking, often funny and I love that you have the intellectual and spiritual honesty to share views that may cause some to be judgmental (very un-Christian in my opinion). I especially appreciated your blog on Christian music and the Christian sub-culture….I couldn’t agree more. I have nothing against Christian music if you genuinely like it, but I suspect there are many people out there who listen because it is what they believe is the “Christian” thing to do. It is not my music preference and I don’t think it makes me less of a believer. If we separate ourselves, then are we really building character? And, who exactly are me ministering to? In doing that, we are no better than the Saducees and Pharisees practicing the letter of the law but lacking the spirit. And, your mini-series of your life was just amazing! That took a lot of courage and I don’t think you should regret for a minute that you shared a personal part of your life. I too have “a history” and feel it is more of a testimony because God led me in a different direction. And for you, as a Theologian leading a ministry, you are an excellent example! I’m not sure how often I will be blogging, but may if I get more comfortable with it. I really just wanted to let you know that you are making a difference. Keep up the great work!
