I can only offer God's Word which says in James 1:1-6 that when, not if,
but when various trials come our way, we can ask God for His wisdom (v. 5).
This is not a wisdom that will always explain "why" a trial has come, but it
will always explain "how" we can endure through it (vv. 3-4).
